Commencement and duration

A marine consent that has been granted commences when the time for lodging appeals expires and no appeal has been lodged, when the High Court determines all appeals, or when all appeals are withdrawn. 192

A marine consent has a duration of 35 years unless otherwise specified in the consent. 193
