Climate Change
Climate change has the potential to significantly affect a wide range of habitats and species and subsequently biodiversity values. Predicted changes in temperature and rainfall patterns, increased storm intensity and magnitude, together with a rise in sea levels, will impact habitat availability and range for indigenous and introduced species. There is little doubt that the consequences of an accelerated changing climate will have an impact at all levels of the biodiversity spectrum, including genes, species and ecosystems.
