Decision made whether to notify application

Once all necessary information has been received, the consent authority must decide whether or not to notify the application. ⁸⁴⁵  As already indicated, often an application will not be notified if the consent of all affected parties is obtained. If an application is not notified, the next step is for the consent authority to make a decision on the application. Where an application is publicly notified or given limited notification, this must be carried out within 20 working days of receipt of the application. ⁸⁴⁶ A 10 working day period applies to fast track applications.
