Mediation

The consent authority can refer a resource consent applicant and submitters to mediation if all parties agree. The person who conducts the mediation must report the outcome to the consent authority. ⁸⁶⁶  Mediation can help to resolve issues, or narrow the areas in dispute, resulting in a shorter hearing.
